Okay so next week when the Roku 2 LT comes out, V and I are gonna cut the cable! Sort of an experiment for us. We pay a simply outrageous amount for cable that we don’t watch and the OnDemand feature which we use more regularly but almost always freezes up and glitches out.

Since our bill went up this month (goodbye Comcast!!!), we deliberated and a ‘digital media receiver’ just seems like the best choice for us Internet-addicted, tv minimalists.Anybody have any thoughts on such technology? Experiences with Apple TV or Boxee?

I am missing Lebanon today. This photo was taken when V and I took a day trip through Jbeil with one of the best cabbies ever. He picked us up off the streets in Beirut in his very old, very beaten Mercedes and for the low price of just $50 he took us where we pleased and even stopped to take pictures of us in the beautiful scenery. After spending the morning in the Jeita Grotto (worth checking out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeita_Grotto) we hopped back in the car and we lurched off in Libnanee traffic until we got to Jbeil.

I cannot wait until we meet again, qalbee!

Okay, I am welcoming myself to tumblr. I’m not exactly sure I get it yet, but I like the things I’ve seen. I don’t know why, but as I get even just a little bit older I become more weary of basic technology (I think I’m ready to give up facebook soon though.

Anyway, this Miguel song is great! Vv and I have been rocking to it since he learned the chords on the guitar. Maybe one day we’ll be one of those awesome people who put their covers on youtube. Back to my original thought that I am more afraid of technology than it is of me!
